The pandemic raised so many questions for myself as to what the future would hold for me in this industry. I leaned into the “glass-half-full” perspective and it paid off. For the first time I explored working on the brand side and was offered a position as Senior Art Director with one of the largest, most influential cosmetic brands in the world - Estée Lauder. More specifically their Aveda line. Aveda has always been a very inspiring brand to me. Lead by Horst Rechelbacher, they became one of the most influential cosmetic brands, leading with a focus on all-natural products. The opportunity to tell stories in a new, important and limitless space was compelling and energizing. The Aveda Holiday 2021 Campaign was one of my proudest accomplishments and I was so excited and proud to be a part of it. Holiday campaigns are always one of the most important for a brand and with this season being a collaboration with Phillip Lim the stakes were high. To be tasked to help ideate on this so early in my tenure was amazing, if not nerve-racking. I created the look and feel for the campaign, working with an amazing team, lead by VP of Creative Marney Kerr. The results speak for themselves.
